This is a non-competitive children’s walk whose aim is to bring the sport of trail running closer to under-12s. No trophies will be given to winners, but there will be prizes and a certificate for everyone.

At the end there will be a MINI AID STATION.

Prior registration by the parents will be required, who by doing so will authorise the children’s participation in the activity. Places limited to 60 bibs.

The walk will be held on the ascent of Monte Cincho, partial or complete depending on the age groups formed.

For this purpose a route that is not very long and completely safe has been designed, so that it can be done at a gentle pace while enjoying the feeling of trail running on the mountain.

INFORMATION AND ORGANISATION RULES

Jointly organised by the Club “Somos Ecoparque” and the Ayuntamiento de Arnuero, we present this children’s event, with a route of approximately between 500 m and 1.5 km. on the slopes of Monte Cincho (Arnuero).

PROGRAMME:

Date: 6 March 2027

MEETING at 11:00 at the Observatorio del Arte in Arnuero. From there the children, together with instructors and parents, will move to the slopes of Monte Cincho, where separate starts will be given in four age groups at 15-minute intervals. Each group will go up with one instructor leading and another at the rear. Parents may go up before the start and position themselves along the route to cheer, but under no circumstances may they run alongside the children. Once the rear instructor has passed they may continue behind them until completing the ascent and then come down together with their children along the descent path. For the youngest the route may be shortened. Also, if the weather is unfavourable, suitable alternatives will be sought.

Each group of children, after reaching the summit, will begin the descent walking and carefully, to return to the Observatorio del Arte in Arnuero, where prizes, certificates and refreshments will be handed out, once all the groups have returned.

IMPORTANT: In anticipation of possible bad weather, parents are asked to bring a backpack with a change of clothes and footwear and a towel to dry off in case of rain. That way the children will be able to enjoy the refreshments more.

1. GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS.

Children who have not registered in advance will not be allowed to take part, so that they are duly insured for the activity

The event will take place on 6 March 2027

The maximum number of entries will be 60 participants. The recommended age is between 6 and 12 years, although younger children may be admitted if they are used to walking in the mountains.

2. CATEGORIES.

The race is non-competitive and therefore no categories are established, but the children will be divided into 4 or 5 age groups so that everyone can complete the event at a similar pace and as a group. None of the boys or girls may overtake the instructor leading the group, and they must act in accordance with the instructions they receive from them.

3. REGISTRATION.

The general registration period ends on 20 February 2026 or once the maximum number of bibs set by the Organisation has been reached.

A symbolic price of 3€ is set, with the simple aim of preventing registrations of children who then do not bother to take part, limiting the participation of others who are left out

4. PRIZES

All participating children will receive a souvenir T-shirt and a participation certificate, as well as other possible gifts offered by the sponsors.
