5 MARCH 2027
Night-time, non-competitive trail race. A route of about 9 km with start and finish in the Historic quarter of Isla. It is a family, non-competitive event, whose aim is fun and raising funds for donation to a non-profit Organisation. The route, suitable for all audiences, is a long walk that descends from the Historic quarter of Isla to the Castellano mill, continuing to the Corporales pool before returning to the Historic quarter. An event for everyone to go at their own pace, enjoying the experience of running/walking in nature, at night, and doing so for a charitable cause.
Start from the Historic Quarter of Isla towards the Argatojo neighbourhood
From Argatojo the race continues towards the Ría de Castellanos along local footpaths, passing by the pond of the old Molino de Castellano and from there continuing along paths by the Ría de Castellano until reaching Playa de La Arena.
At La Arena beach we join the coastal path of the Quejo cliffs, a signposted pedestrian route that crosses this area, from where we will climb up to the Poza de Corporales, where we will turn back towards the Historic quarter of Isla, which we will enter from the rear of the palace of the Condes de Isla.
Jointly organised by the Club “Somos Ecoparque” and the Ayuntamiento de Arnuero, we present this night Trail event, with a route of approximately 9 km. and start and finish in the Historic Quarter of Isla.
Participants who run without a bib or with a bib not registered in their name will not be covered by the benefits and insurance applied to this race. They are therefore considered to be outside the race and the organisers decline all responsibility in the event of an accident.
The event will take place on 5 March 2027, with the start at 19:30 from the Historic Quarter of Isla, Municipality of Arnuero.
The maximum number of entries will be 300 participants.
The event will take place over a route of approximately 9 km, with an elevation gain of approximately 250 and a cumulative elevation of 500 m.
The race is non-competitive, so no categories are established and there will be no podium.
The general registration period ends on 20 February 2026 or once the maximum number of bibs set by the Organisation has been reached.
Registrations may be made after this period until 27 February, but they will carry a financial penalty on the normal registration fee, and those registering late will not be able to choose sizes for the gift garments or collect their bib before the day of the event.
Under no circumstances will registrations be accepted on the day of the race. Registrations can be made in the following ways:

The route will be duly marked with specific markers for this type of event that are easily recognisable and with identifying marks along the entire course. The Organisation will set up an intermediate checkpoint, manual or mechanical, through which runners must have passed under penalty of disqualification.
A maximum race time of 2 hours is established, so that the Finish control and the race as a sporting event will close at 21:30, and all participants arriving later will be disqualified.
The Organisation will have a group of volunteers acting as race sweepers. This group will cover the route starting at the very back of the field, a position they will maintain at all times, trying to adjust their pace so as to arrive just before the cut-off times expire, both the intermediate point time and the maximum race time. Participants who, despite warnings from the sweeper group, are overtaken by it will be disqualified and must hand over their bib to them, and whatever may happen if they continue along the route will be at their own risk.
This is a semi-self-sufficiency event and there will be one intermediate aid station. During the rest of the route participants must be self-sufficient, and may carry with them whatever nutrition and hydration products they consider appropriate.
In addition to those who breach the race regulations, the Organisation will disqualify anyone who:
Littering or degrading the environment of the route (NOT depositing waste in the places provided by the organisation for that purpose).
Failing to help any participant and inform the nearest checkpoint.
Not following the instructions and guidelines of the members of the organisation and
The organisers may, if necessary, withdraw any person who is not in normal physical or mental condition.
If you withdraw from the race, you must inform any member of the organisation and hand over your bib.
The terrain on which this sporting event takes place is of enormous ecological importance, so we must respect it; it is vitally important to dispose of rubbish and waste in the places provided for this purpose, which will be located near the aid stations.
Bad weather is no obstacle to holding this race, unless there are extreme weather conditions in which participation would pose a clear risk to the safety of the participants.
The organisers reserve the right to make any appropriate changes and/or propose an alternative route to the one initially marked, if they deem it advisable for various reasons of clear importance, as well as to cancel the race if weather conditions require it or due to force majeure.
Participants will have access to shower facilities at the Isla hostel.
It is compulsory to have a head torch with light and advisable to carry a hydration kit (water bottle or flask), as well as a cap, waterproof jacket, and Trail shoes.
The organisers are not responsible for any accidents that may occur during the race, nor for the belongings of each participant.
The organisers will have communication and emergency services from civil protection and appropriate medical transport, as well as a group insurance policy, but decline all responsibility for any damage that may be caused to or by participants, who agree to take part in the race freely and under their own full responsibility.
In case of doubt, the decision of the organisers will prevail.
By registering, every participant accepts the conditions of these rules and releases the organisers from all liability in the event of accident or injury, as well as from any eventuality that may arise from participation in the race.
If the organisers are forced to do so, these rules may be amended. However, any amendment will be duly communicated to participants.
Completing the registration constitutes acknowledgement of agreement with these rules and with the liability waiver attached as an annex to them.
The image rights arising from participation in any of the races or formats organised under the name Trail Ecoparque de Trasmiera GP de Isla will belong exclusively to the race Organisation, which means that it may use them as it sees fit, provided it does not infringe the participant’s right to privacy. To this end, participants, by the mere fact of signing the registration form, assign their image, photographic and audiovisual rights, which may be used by the Organisation for the race’s own publicity.
Furthermore, any use of them by any company or private individual must be permitted and/or acknowledged by the Organisation itself. Likewise, registered runners will authorise their name to appear in a list of participants, results lists, tracking system and any other medium the organisers determine for the proper running of the event published on the official race website.
Runners registered for the Ecoparque Luciérnagas Trail acknowledge that their participation in the event is voluntary and at their own risk. Therefore the organisers, collaborators, sponsors and other participants are exempt from any civil liability.
All participants, by the mere fact of signing the registration form, declare that they accept and sign the Liability Waiver.
